Dinner and overnight in a Standard Room at Hvolsvöllur Hotel. DAY 5 - HELLA, SOUTH COAST, REYKHOLT After breakfast, leave the capital and travel through Iceland’s wild interior towards West Iceland. Today’s highlight is Into The Glacier Excursion by Monster truck from Husafell. Travel in specially modified vehicles onto Langjökull Glacier and venture inside a series of man made ice tunnels and chambers, learning about the glacier’s formation and the natural forces shaping Iceland. Continue to your countryside hotel in the peaceful Reykholt area. Dinner is served at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the 4* Hotel Varmaland or similar. DAY 6 - SNÆFELLSNESS PENINSULA After breakfast, set off early to explore the enchanting Snæfellsnes
Peninsula, often called “Iceland in Miniature” for its diverse landscapes. As you head west, the road follows rugged coastlines where waves crash against dramatic basalt cliffs. Your first stop is Arnarstapi, a quaint fishing village marked by unusual lava formations and lively seabird cliffs. Enjoy the salty breeze as you walk along the dramatic shoreline. Continue to the iconic Kirkjufell, its pointed peak reflected in the nearby waterfall—a scene so striking it feels like an Icelandic postcard brought to life. Further along, visit the blacksand beach of Djúpalónssandur, where smooth volcanic pebbles and remnants of an old shipwreck hint at the power of the sea. You can even test your strength with the traditional “strongman stones.” Lunch follows in the charming town of Stykkishólmur, known for its fresh seafood and warm, inviting atmosphere. In the afternoon, travel inland to Reykholt, a lush historic valley. Explore the Snorrastofa Cultural Centre, once home to medieval writer Snorri Sturluson, and stop by Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring, steaming vigorously into the crisp air. Return to Reykjavík filled with impressions of glaciers, lava fields, dramatic coastlines, and
the stories woven into Iceland’s landscape—an unforgettable journey through the country’s wild soul. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Varmaland. DAY 7 - REYKJAVIK After breakfast, head to the Blue Lagoon for a Premium Entrance experience. Surrounded by striking black lava fields, the lagoon’s warm, milkyblue geothermal waters provide a serene and luxurious escape, complete with silica masks and its signature tranquil atmosphere. Dinner and overnight in a Guest Room at Berjaya Reykjavik Marina Hotel. DAY 8 – REYKJAVIK After breakfast we head to the harbour for a 3-hour whale watching excursion. With a little luck, you may spot minke whales, humpbacks, dolphins and seabirds against a backdrop of mountains and open sea. Return to Reykjavik for free time. Relax, explore local restaurants or join your Tour Manager for an evening stroll. On clear nights, and depending on conditions, you may have the last chance to look for the Northern Lights. Late night transfer to Keflavik Airport for our flight back to Malta. DAY 9 – FLIGHT TO MALTA Early morning flight back to Malta via Frankfurt.
