DAY 14 - BEST OF OTTAWA WALKING TOUR WITH BOAT CRUISE Your tour will begin with your friendly local guide meeting you at the Giant Spider sculpture named “Maman” in front of the National Gallery. You will be in awe of this stunning piece of art created by artist Louise Bourgeois, depicting a spider with a sac containing marble eggs. From there you will begin making your way to ByWard Market, passing by the stunning Royal Mint and Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica. You will love the ByWard Market, a historic and vibrant neighborhood known for its outdoor farmer’s market, local artisan shops, restaurants, and nightlife scene. It also features several historic landmarks and cultural institutions, providing you a glimpse into the city’s rich heritage and contemporary culture. From there you will continue walking toward The Centennial Flame, passing by the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Laurier along the way. DAY 15 - OTTAWA – TORONTO Departing the nation’s capital of Ottawa today, board the VIA Rail train bound for Toronto, Canada’s largest city. Toronto also has many green spaces, from the orderly oval of Queen’s Park to 400 acre High Park and its trails, sports facilities and zoo. In the summer, long, hot days are packed with cultural events, festivals, concerts and Blue Jays baseball games. A healthy city, full of green space, rivers, parks and forests. Many of these green spaces are connected, creating corridors for wild animals like coyotes, foxes, raccoons, skunks and squirrels to travel through. Just a two and a half-hour drive away from Toronto is the Muskoka region, where larger mammals like moose, bears and white-tailed deer can be found in a natural landscape of forests, waterfalls, rugged rock formations, lakes and rivers. Continue past the scenic Lakelands of Northern Ontario to the prairie provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, ending your journey in the town of Jasper in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
