Lapita, Dubai Parks & Resorts - Travel Collection 18/19

RIVERLAND THE GATEWAY TO DUBAI PARKS AND RESORTS

As the gateway to Dubai Parks and Resorts, Riverland Dubai is where you’ll most likely begin your theme park adventure. Connecting all of the theme parks – the district is home to more than 50 restaurants, cafés and shops spread across four themed zones. It’s more than just a launch pad for the parks, though. Street theatre performances, family-friendly events and an attractive canal make Riverland Dubai a destination in its own right, while free entry means it attracts a mix of theme park-goers and local residents, who come to soak up the holiday atmosphere.

Take a nostalgia-inducing trip back to 1950s America at The Boardwalk, with palm trees, neon signs and casual eateries imported from the US. Treat the family to burritos at Tortilla or hickory-smoked ribs at Famous Dave’s, followed by a cherry- topped sundae at retro ice cream parlour, Ella’s Creamery. In the atmospheric French Village, you can wander along cobblestone streets lined with medieval-style buildings. Stop by Pascal Tepper for oven-fresh pastries and baguettes, and shop for souvenirs at stores such as Gallery One, I Love Dubai and Dubai Duty Free. The India Gate area dishes up delicious dining options such as Bol Gappa, Wok Chi and Barbecue Delights, along with traditionally-spiced seafood at Emirati restaurant, Al Mashowa. Pose for a photo in front of the giant statue of henna- decorated hands, shop for handicrafts at Maharaja, and revive weary feet with a massage at Feet First. Round off your day at The Peninsula zone. Accessed via two bridges, you can catch an outdoor concert in the piazza and dine on Mediterranean fare at Big Chefs or Ecco, before enjoying the craic at The Irish Village, a family-friendly pub with home-cooked meals and live entertainment.

TRAVEL COLLECTION 2018/19

Staying close to the theme parks is essential if you want to be there when the gates open, and the Polynesian-themed LAPITA™ Dubai is currently the only hotel located within the Dubai Parks and Resorts.

Many of LAPITA™Dubai’s accommodation packages include unlimited park access for one day during your stays. For parents with young children, it’s particularly handy to be able to pop back to the hotel to accommodate afternoon naps or a dip in the pool.
