Ponte Holidays - Sicily 2021

Valletta Cruise Port. Valletta Cruise Port is located in the capital city of Malta and regularly welcomes cruise ships, as well as a new fast ferry service between Malta and Gozo. The historic Grand Harbour serves as a backdrop to this port, immersing travellers in Malta’s rich history right from their arrival. The Valletta Cruise Port is conveniently located within walking distance of the city centre with its shops, restaurants, coffee shops, historical buildings, museums and churches. The port itself handles a variety of seacraft, ranging from cruise ships to smaller vessels, offers 24/7 support services and has ISPS-compliant quays. Pinto Wharf is named after the 18th century warehouses which line it and which were commissioned by Grandmaster` Pinto. These structures are now restored and have been transformed into restaurants, cafes, and shops with distinctive brightly coloured doors. They attract tourists from the ships stopping over as well as locals on sunny days and long summer evenings. Augusta, Sicily. The port of Augusta, on the eastern coast of Sicily, is one of Italy’s main harbours and a very important logistics centre for the Mediterrranean region. It is equipped for shipbuilding and ship repair and it caters for bunker operations and crew changes. Augusta’s old city centre is on an island which was created in the 16th century.
