DAY 2 JERASH – AJLOUN

After breakfast at the hotel in Amman, then to Jerash city the grandeur of Imperial Rome being one of the largest and most well preserved sites of Roman architecture in the World, its paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, theaters, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and city walls pierced by towers and gates remain in exceptional condition. Then transfer to Al-Rabid Castle in Ajloun city; the 12th century Castle built by one of Saladin’s lieutenants in the campaign against the Crusaders. At the end of the day, you will return to the Amman Hilton hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3 DESERT CASTLES – AMMAN CITY TOUR After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll head to Jordan’s desert castles, beautiful examples of early Islamic art and architecture that stand as a testament to a fascinating era in the country’s rich history. Their fine mosaics, frescoes, stone and stucco carvings, and illustrations, inspired by Persian and Greco Roman traditions, tell countless stories of life in the 8th century. You will then have a tour of Amman, the capital of Jordan, where you will discover Hashemite kingdom; its historic center, its citadel, its Roman amphitheater, its old mosques, its galleries and shops the city’s history, culture, and character. DAY 4 MT. NEBO – MADABA – SHOBAK CASTLE After breakfast and check-out from the Amman hotel, you will start the tour to Mount Nebo, where Moses is said to have viewed the Promised Land before his death. From a platform in front of the church, you can enjoy a breathtaking view across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. You will then drive approximately 15 minutes to Madaba, known as “The City of Mosaics”, a typical East Bank town where almost every house sits atop a fine Byzantine mosaic. Many of these mosaics have been excavated and are on display in the town’s museum, while countless others remain hidden, awaiting discovery. Next, you will visit Shobak Castle (Mons Realis, or the Royal Mountain), built in 1115 by Baldwin I of Jerusalem during his campaign in the area, including the capture of Aqaba in 1116. Strategically perched on a hill on the plain of Edom, the castle oversaw pilgrimage and caravan routes from Syria to Arabia. After breakfast, depart for a full-day visit to Little Petra (Siq al-Barid), a smaller Nabatean site that once complemented the great city of Petra. Explore its narrow sandstone passageways, rock-cut façades, and ancient chambers believed to have welcomed traders and visitors along historic caravan routes. Quieter and more intimate than Petra, Little Petra offers a fascinating insight into Nabatean daily life, set within a peaceful desert landscape of warm, natural hues. DAY 7 SUNRISE JEEP TOUR – DEAD SEA

Early in the morning, you will enjoy a 2-hour sunrise 4x4 jeep tour in the Wadi Rum Protected Area, the largest desert in Jordan. This vast landscape is famously associated with T.E. Lawrence, who wrote the Seven Pillars of Wisdom here. During the tour, you will visit Burrah Canyon via Alameleh, Khor Um Ishrin, Lawrence’s House, and Siq Lawrence. You will then return to the camp for breakfast, before transferring directly to the Dead Sea resort area, the lowest elevation on Earth and the world’s deepest hypersaline lake. Bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel and Palestine to the west, the Dead Sea lies approximately 430.5 metres below sea level. One of the most remarkable natural and spiritual landscapes in the world, the Dead Sea is renowned for its mineral-rich waters and natural salts, formed over thousands of years.
