DAY 5 BEIJING – XI ’AN

Following breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the station for a comfortable high-speed train journey to Xi’an. Upon arrival, explore the Ancient City Wall. Later, we’ll visit the Gao Family’s Courtyard which is one of the best preserved traditional residences in Xi’an. Hidden behind an unassuming gate in the bustling Muslim Quarter, the courtyard offers a peaceful retreat where visitors can experience traditional Chinese culture. It was once the residence of Gao Yuesong, an official in the Ming imperial court. Built entirely of brick and wood, the compound reflects the refined lifestyle and deep cultural heritage of the Gao family. The residence consists of nearly 86 rooms, 56 of which are open to the public. Don’t miss the Shadow Puppet Show, a traditional Chinese folk art in which colorful puppets are brought to life on a backlit screen to tell vivid and timeless stories.
