The name “Kampong Glam” derives from the Gelam trees that once grew here, used in shipbuilding and traditional medicine. Continue to Little India, one of Singapore’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, known locally as Tekka. Its streets are filled with spice stalls, colourful murals, and ornate temples. Visit the bustling Tekka Market and immerse yourself in the area’s rich culture and cuisine. Next, head to Orchard Road, Singapore’s premier shopping and entertainment boulevard. Stretching 2.5 kilometres, Orchard is home to an array of luxury malls, boutiques, restaurants, and cafés. At night, it transforms into a lively hotspot for locals and visitors alike. Conclude the day at Chinatown, the cultural heart of Singapore’s Chinese community, which makes up over 70% of the population. Wander through streets filled with traditional medicine shops, teahouses, and the stunning Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.
