Meet the tour manager at Malta International Airport for your flight to Vancouver. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before setting out for a scenic drive through Rogers Pass, a breathtaking mountain route. Today’s highlights include visits to the stunning Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, two of Canada’s most iconic natural wonders. Upon arrival in Banff, take a ride on the Banff Gondola for panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains (included). Check into your 3* Elk & Avenue hotel, or similar, located on Banff Avenue, where you will have free time in the evening to explore the town at your leisure.

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Banff, including stops at the scenic Bow Falls and the historic Banff Springs Hotel. Travel along the famous Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic drives in the world, with opportunities to marvel at towering peaks and pristine lakes. A highlight of the day is the Columbia Icefields experience, where you will participate in the renowned Ice Explorer Glacier Tour (included). Begin the morning with breakfast before traveling to Clearwater, where you will visit Spahats Falls in Wells Grey Provincial Park, a stunning natural attraction. Continue the journey with a stop in Kamloops, a charming city nestled in the Thompson Valley. In the evening, return to Richmond where you will check into your 4* Sheraton Richmond Airport Hotel or similar, where you can enjoy a restful night before the next leg of your adventure.

After breakfast, depart Richmond early for the journey south to the United States border. Following border formalities, continue traveling to Seattle, keeping in mind that wait times at the border may vary. When you arrive in Seattle, you will be dropped off at the cruise terminal for embarkation of your cruise on board the Celebrity Edge, marking the beginning of your next adventure at sea.

Ketchikan, one of Alaska’s most Southeastern cities, is the first stop for many cruises on their way to more Northern climes. Ketchikan is the gateway to the Misty Fjords National Monument, an area so beautiful, it is known as “The Yosemite of the North.” With steep valleys formed by glaciers and lava flows left by volcanic activity, Misty Fjords offers gorgeous views of natural formations, all reflected in the calm waters of Pacific inlets.

Endicott Arm is a 30-mile fjord that snakes through the Tracy Arm-Fords Wilderness Area. At the head is the majestic Dawes Glacier. Find a good spot on our spacious decks or get cozy on your verandah and take in the views. Glide past waterfalls that spool like silver ribbons from soaring mountain peaks. As you go deeper into the narrow fjord, the water changes color from grey to jade, the temperatures dip and the bergy bits (ice chunks) become larger and more plentiful. The 600-foot-tall, mile-wide Dawes Glacier takes center stage just around a bend. The ship will sidle up to this brilliant blue giant for a chance to witness calving, when ice breaks off and plunges into the sea. Dawes Glacier regularly rumbles with white thunder, so keep your camera ready! Wildlife sightings are common, so bring your binoculars. Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier are the breeding grounds of harbor seals, one of Alaska’s cutest critters. In spring, you can see chubby pups chilling with mom on floating ice. Located on traditional Tlingit land, Shgagwéi means “bunched up or roughed up water” and refers to the whitecaps that form from strong winds. Visitors can explore the colorful history and characters of the Klondike Gold Rush in the heart of downtown Skagway along Broadway Avenue. More than 20 historic buildings have been preserved by Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, including The Moore House, Jeff Smith’s Parlor, and The Mascot Saloon.
