DAY 2 STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

Breakfast and full day excursion where you will visit the impressive Cathedral of Uppsala Sweden’s most famous Gothic creation. Then continue to Old Uppsala to see the burial mounds that were the graves of three Viking kings. Continuation to Sigtuna, once the capital of Sweden but today a picturesque small town situated on the shores of Lake Malaren.

DAY 3 STOCKHOLM

Breakfast and morning city tour of Stockholm. From Fjällgatan you will have the view of Stockholm spread out on 14 islands connected with bridges. You will visit Gamla Stan, the old city with its narrow cobbled-stoned lanes, charming

small squares, medieval buildings in happy colours, the Cathedral, the Royal Palace and the fascinating Vasa Ship Museum with the unique wooden warship, which sank in Stockholm’s harbour on its maiden voyage and was salvaged intact 333 years later.

DAY 4 STOCKHOLM – HAMAR

Breakfast and drive towards Norway, passing through open landscapes, dense forests and glittering lakes. Visit the city of Karlstad, the capital of the province of Varmland, located beautifully on the shores of Lake Varnern, the largest of Sweden’s lakes. After crossing the border into Norway continue to Hamar, located right next to Lake Mjosa, Norway’s largest Lake. Check in at your 4* Scandic Hamar Hotel.

DAY 5 HAMAR – GEIRANGER

Breakfast and your first stop today will be in Lillehammer, where the 1994 winter Olympics took place. Northbound you continue through the green, fertile farmland of Gudbrands Valley. In Lom stop to see the amazing wooden stave church dating back to the 12th century (entrance fee not

included). Your route continues via Grotli to the Geiranger area. The fjord and the surrounding mountains offer a picturesque and unique backdrop to your stay. Transfer to your 4* Grotli Hoyfjellshotel for check in and dinner.

DAY 6 GEIRANGER - SOGNEFJORD

Breakfast and morning cruise on the UNESCO-listed Geiranger Fjord with the impressive waterfalls the Bridal Veil and the Seven Sisters. Continue to Briksdal Glacier with the option of walking up to the Glacier. After the

glacier experience, sit back in the coach and enjoy the views of mountains and fjords. Transfer to your 4* Quality Hotel Sogndal for check in and dinner.

DAY 7 SOGNEFJORD - BERGEN

Breakfast and ferry across to Hella. Proceed along the scenic coastal route to Manheller for a short ferry crossing to Fodnes. Marvel at the landscape as you drive along the Naeroy fjord – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with small farms scattered on the steep hillsides of the fjord, cascading waterfalls and towering snow-clad mountains. Arrive in Flam and continue the journey with one of the most exceptional railroad trips in the world, the Flam Railway. DAY 8 BERGEN – GEILO

Breakfast and enjoy an orientation tour of Bergen, taking you to the famous open air fish market. Stroll across to Bryggen where the traditional wooden medieval buildings still remain as in the times of the Hanseatic League. Time at leisure for shopping or maybe take the funicular to the top of Mount Floyen for a stunning view of Bergen. In the afternoon continue towards the Hardanger Fjord with its romantic landscape of fruit orchards and rounded mountains. Stop at the impressive Voringsfoss waterfall with a vertical drop of 180 meters, before ascending the Hardanger Mountain Plateau and reaching the Geilo area. Breakfast and this morning we head for Oslo, the capital of Norway. Proceed for a tour of Oslo, which takes you to the Frogner Park with the controversial sculptures of the famous Norwegian Gustav Vigeland. Other highlights of the tour are the Royal Palace, the medieval fortress

Akershus, the modern Opera house and the City Hall. Rest of the day at leisure to explore Oslo, the pedestrian street Karl Johan and the lovely shopping and restaurant wharf Aker Brygge. Transfer to your 4* Scandic Solli Hotel.
