Then we will proceed to the Village of Kemenuh to visit the talented Balinese woodcarving artists in their traditional workshops. You will see how they carve beautiful statues and works of art from a single block of wood. The journey then continues to Kintamani to view the breathtaking Lake Batur and the active volcano called Mount Batur (1,730 meters). At Bukit Jambul, we will stop for a refreshing view over the beautiful valley and the opportunity for lunch (own account). On our way through the east of Bali you will discover the traditional village of Penglipuran. This village is unique for its different social community structure and layout, which dates back to the 16th century. Unlike the majority lush tropical country sides which owed their fertile soils to the volcanoes that dotted the central highlands, this arid terrain-formed by millennia of coral sedimentations is a world of its own. Their beautiful-yet-wild beaches are heaven for surfers. In the corner of this peninsula, perched on a sheer cliff, is a highly venerated Uluwatu temple. A performance of The Ramayana epic-based Kecak Dance with the majestic temple and sunset as its background, will give a climax to this memorable evening.
