DAY 6 AKHALTSIKHE - UPLISTSIKHE CAVE TOWN – DRIVE ALONG THE MILITARY WAY - GUDAURI After breakfast drive along the ancient Silk Road, we visit the Rock-Hewn City of Uplistsikhe, Georgia’s oldest rock-cut city, dating back to the 6th century BC. As we explore the city, we’ll walk along ancient streets, passing royal palaces, pagan temples, and Christian churches. Highlights include a rock-cut theater, a pharmacy counter, and the remnants of extensive granaries and terracotta wine storage vessels, offering a glimpse into the daily lives of the inhabitants. Next, we’ll make a photographic stop in Gori, home to the Stalin Museum, where we’ll capture views of this historic town. Continuing along the historic military road, we journey towards the Great Caucasus Mountains. The scenery here is breathtaking, with green fields, alpine meadows, sparkling rivers, and towering peaks creating a truly mystical atmosphere.
