LISBON 2021

The 28 tram in Lisbon connects Martim Moniz with Campo de Ourique, and passes through the popular tourist districts such as Graca, Alfama, Baixa and Estrela. For visitors, this is the classic Lisbon tram journey, riding in a quaint yellow train as it rattles and screeches through the narrow streets of the city. Along the E28 route, delightful trams trundle, and these retain many of the orig- inal 1930s features, including polished wood interiors, brass dials and cheery yellow paintwork. In any other city, these trams would be housed in a museum, but in Lisbon, they are an integral part of the public transport network. And the portuguese food? It’s the Mediterranean cuisine at its best, and like the people, it’s warm, vibrant, spicy, and a little mysterious. It’s also balanced, as the people’s diet is filled with fruits, veg- etables, fresh seafood, meat, and plenty of sweets. Also known for its wealth of seafood and olive oil, Portuguese cuisine relies heavily on the Atlantic Ocean and the produce grown throughout the country. Try some of the famous dishes like Cozido à portuguesa, Sardinhas assadas, Bacalhau à Brás and the well known Pastéis de Nata (portuguese custard tarts). The 28 Tram Route And Portuguese Food
