LAKE COMO 2026
The Lario, or Lake Como, lies between water and earth, forming a harmonious whole. Nature, beautiful and carefully preserved, has always been shaped by human hands, giving life to picturesque and characteristic towns, magnificent villas with gardens full of flowers and exotic plants. Its Y-shaped form is created by the three branches: the Colico Basin, the Como branch and the Lecco branch. A mild climate complements a surprising and fascinating landscape with a thousand different shades: blue and green waters, snow-capped or wooded rocky reliefs, stone-built villages perched between the lakeside and the mountains, and industrious cities rich in history and culture. Located in the heart of the Alpine region, Lake Como becomes an oasis during the summer, offering refreshment, peace and tranquillity, even when venturing into the surrounding mountains. Lake Como is also renowned for its excellent traditional cuisine, from fish to cheese to desserts. Highlights include risotto with perch fillets, fine olive oil, many vegetables (including the asparagus of Rogaro and Drezzo), and a variety of fish dishes such as misultin (salted, dried and pressed agoni marinated with vinegar and oil). The perfect combination of lake and mountains is reflected on the tables of the many restaurants in the area.
Whether for a short trip or a long holiday, Lake Como always offers a wealth of art, culture, and, of course, stunning landscapes.
