PORTS OF CALL
Hawke’s Bay is a popular destination for both local and international cruises and our twin cities, Napier and Hastings, are known for sunny climes, fresh food, sprawling vineyards, and awe-inspiring landscapes. Rebuilt in the Art Deco style after a devastating earthquake in 1931, Napier is one of the best-preserved examples of Art Deco architecture in the world today. From October to April every year, Napier Port welcomes cruise ships from around the world. Passengers arriving at Napier Port are greeted in typical Hawke’s Bay style – by friendly locals, dressed with a touch of our Art Deco heritage. TAURANGA Port of Tauranga is consistently voted by passengers as one of the best cruise ship destinations in New Zealand. The cruise berth is next to picturesque Pilot Bay with easy access to the rest of Tauranga city and the tourism attractions of the wider Bay of Plenty. Tauranga means ‘place of rest or anchorage’ in Māori and while the sparkling harbour and magnificent views make it a great place to relax and recharge, there’s also plenty to keep you busy. AUCKLAND If you’re looking for lots of natural beauty and incredible outdoor activities on your next vacation, there’s nothing quite like New Zealand. Auckland is a great way to get your nature fix in this captivating part of the south Pacific, and keep in mind there’s also plenty to see and do in Auckland to get to know this beautiful, cosmopolitan hub, which beckons with cool café culture and a foodie-approved culinary scene spotlighting flavours from all over the world. Head to the 780-foot Sky Tower for awe-inspiring views of the city. Or plan the ultimate beach day — you can choose between tranquil white-sand shores on the east coast, like popular Pakiri Beach and Forestry Beach, or the west coast’s rugged black-sand shores, where the rough waters of the Tasman Sea create a surfer’s paradise. BAY OF ISLANDS Look up — the Bay of Islands is said to have the world’s second bluest sky after Rio de Janeiro. Located on the northwestern coast of New Zealand’s North Island, the sea here is also a beautiful shade of turquoise, dotted with 144 subtropical islands of the area. Take a day trip to explore the bay and its pretty islands from close up, capped off with a trip through the Hole in the Rock. Carved by the sea and weather, the hole is 240 feet wide, though looks a lot smaller when you’re heading toward it on your day-trip boat at speed DAY 21/22 – SYDNEY – NORTHERN BEACHES - MALTA Following our departure from the cruise we head to Manly Beach to relax and explore the Corso and enjoy the ocean pool. Drive to the North Head Lookout for breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and to Palm Beach the “Home & Away” filming spot. Free time for lunch (not included) and then to Narrabeen and Dee Why Beach the Local favourites for a scenic drive.
After our final day in Sydney, we board our coach transfer to the airport for our flight to Malta via Dubai.
NAPIER A gateway to a one of a kind tourist experience.
