Learn how some of the local cuisines are made, how the produce is prepared and the spices are mixed and matched to achieve that perfect balance of flavour. You are encouraged to take part in this session and expand your culinary skills. Now the time you were waiting for, a delicious local rice and curry lunch will be presented for you to enjoy in the authentic way. Combine the different curries and savour with the rice and eat to your hearts content. After a seasonal fruit will be served for you as dessert. Thereafter bidding farewell to the villagers transfer back to the starting point in a tuk-tuk, a more modern and fun mode of transportation. From here transfer to the hotel, completing your check-in the evening is allocated to be enjoyed at leisure. DAY 7 SIGIRIYA Rise up early in the morning and prepare yourselves for a never before made experience to climb the majestic Sigiriya rock fortress! You can marvel each step you take from the entrance itself to the wonders this site beholds! On a lucky day you can still witness the water fountain system functioning in the water garden which is first. DAY 8 SIGIRIYA - GALOYA Start the day early in the morning to witness an unforgettable sight! Transfer to Pidurangala and climb the rock in the freshness of the morning. Pidurangala- Located in close proximity to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Pidurangala has a proud ancient heritage which is closely tied to that of the Sigiriya rock fortress that is often overlooked by many who visit. The climb is more challenging than Sigiriya as there is no paved path to the top. Uneven steps and creeping through boulders is part of the journey. Therefore, this is recommended for guests with good physical fitness and are up to adventure! Then transfer to Gal Oya. Gal Oya is situated in the Ampara district of the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. It covers an area of approximately 259 square miles (670 square kilometres) and encompasses the country’s largest reservoir, Senanayake Samudraya. The area surrounding Gal Oya National Park is inhabited by indigenous communities, including the Vedda people, who are among the island’s earliest inhabitants. These communities have a rich cultural heritage and offer visitors the chance to learn about their traditional way of life. Afternoon Boat safari on Sri Lanka’s Largest lake.
