DAY 4 HANOI - MAI CHAU - AVANA RETREAT (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, a little more than 3 hours from Hanoi, the landscape changes completely and we enter the “real rural Vietnam”, we are on our way to Mai Chau. This province is well known for the beauty of its landscape, with its wonderful panoramic views, beautiful valleys, rice terraces and the famous houses built on pillars (stilt houses). Along the way we will make some stops to take pictures of these breathtaking landscapes and the peaceful atmosphere. We will have a coffee in the village of Hoa Binh, and then continue to Mai Chau where the ethnic groups of this region live with their particular houses built on stilts with palm roofs and bamboo floors. We will walk through these characteristic villages to discover the routine of the local tribes, as well as to admire the elaboration of their beautiful and colorful “Tho Cam” fabrics used to make their clothes. In the afternoon, we will take a bike ride through the rice fields.
