there. DAY 4 – HANOI - MAI CHAU - AVANA RETREAT (B) Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, a little more than 3 hours from Hanoi, the landscape changes completely and we enter the “real rural Vietnam”, we are on our way to Mai Chau. This province is well known for the beauty of its landscape, with its wonderful panoramic views, beautiful valleys, rice terraces and the famous houses built on pillars (stilt houses). Along the way we will make some stops to take pictures of these breathtaking landscapes and the peaceful atmosphere. We will have a coffee in the village of Hoa Binh, and then continue to Mai Chau where the ethnic groups of this region live with their particular houses built on stilts with palm roofs and bamboo floors. We will walk through these characteristic villages to discover the routine of the local tribes, as well as to admire the elaboration of their beautiful and colorful “Tho Cam” fabrics used to make their clothes. In the afternoon, we will take a bike ride through the rice fields. DAY 5 – MAI CHAU - AVANA RETREAT - LOCAL VILLAGE WALK (EASY) (B) Breakfast at the hotel. For guests seeking a private exploration of Mai Chau, this pleasant walk will give you a memorable experience of some of the most peaceful countryside sceneries. With a guide walking alongside, you will slowly meander through ethnic villages, deserted country roads, and a hanging bridge, and stretch your legs on paddy rice fields. Along the way, your guide will provide an insight into the lives of local people and the region’s picturesque landscape. DAY 6 - MAI CHAU - AVANA RETREAT - HOA LU - TAM COC (NINH BÌNH) (B) Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will leave Mai Chau for Ninh Binh province. After 4-hours-drive aprox, we will arrive in Hoa Lu, the former capital of Vietnam around the 10th century. Along the way, you will see countless rice fields dotted with karst rock formations and limestone caves (this area is also known as the Dry Halong). Visit Hoa Lu - the former royal capital of Vietnam. Visit the 10th century King Dinh Temple and King Le Temple, discovering the heroic stories of these two kings in the Chinese wars. Afterwards, go to Tam Coc (10 km from Hoa Lu). Free time at leisure. DAY 7 - TAM COC (NINH BINH) (B) Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Hang Múa with 500 steps to the top of Múa Mountain. At the top, you will be able to contemplate all the beauty of Hoa Lu. Return Tam Coc, (which means three caves) and in a typical boat of the area, where the locals paddle with their feet, we will take a ninety-minute boat ride through beautiful landscapes of rice fields and the famous three caves: Hang Ca, Hang Giua and Hang Cuoi. Afternoon, you take a gentle bike ride in the countryside to visit Thai Vi Temple. We will be back to the Hotel around 17.30/18 hours. DAY 8 - TAM COC (NINH BINH) – HALONG BAY (B,L,D) leisure

Flight departure from Malta International Airport for your flight to Vietnam. DAY 2 - HANOI Arrival in Hanoi and transfer to your Hotel for check in. Meanwhile, you can get a first impression of Hanoi. DAY 3 - HANOI CITY TOUR (B) After breakfast, start the Hanoi tour the capital of Vietnam, the only Asian city with tree lined avenues, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. The tour includes the view of the Temple of Literature, the first university in the country, founded in 1070 and considered the symbol of Hanoi, we will continue with the Museum of Ethnology (closed on Monday), where you can admire a varied and interesting collection of Vietnamese culture. We will move to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum: visiting the outside of it from Ba Dinh Square, we will continue to the Single Pillar Pagoda, built in 1049 by Emperor Ly Thai Tong, who reigned from 1028 to 1054, Built of wood on a single stone pillar, it is designed in the likeness of a lotus flower leaf in honor of Buddha. Afternoon, we will have an experience with flowers and their traditional way of decorating them. Visit a handcrafted flower shop to see how the bouquets are made, how this beautiful and traditional Vietnamese spiritual art is passed down and preserved, and how it has come down to us generation after generation. Guests will learn to recognize exotic flowers while enjoying preparing a spiritual flower offering. Later visit the Ngoc Son temple located in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake. Finally, we will take a panoramic ride on a cycle pousse through the old quarter of Hanoi, also known as the neighborhood of the 36 streets, since in its time it was known for the craft of the artisans who inhabited them and for the workshops that were
