Splendours of the Nile 6 days/5 nights – Cruise and chauffeur-driven private car tour The Nile is a major north-flowing river in north-eastern Africa, generally regarded as one of the longest rivers in the world. Commonly referred to as the ‘mother of civilisation’, it has attracted pilgrims and travellers since the 16th century BC. Set sail on the Mövenpick M/S Royal Lily or the Mövenpick M/S Royal Lotus along this historic waterway in comfort, meandering past the wonders of the ancient world. Begin in Cairo at the Egyptian Museum and Great Pyramids before boarding a Nile cruise at Aswan. A cruise along the river is an ideal way to journey through the sites of ancient Egypt. Day 1: Cairo Arrive at Cairo International Airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Day 2: Cairo Tour the Egyptian Museum to view the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities before visiting the Great Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza. The Great Pyramids is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one still in existence. Day 3: Cairo – Aswan Take a short flight from Cairo International Airport to Aswan and

transfer to the riverside. Enjoy lunch on board, before visiting the High Dam and the Old Dam; the unfinished Obelisk and the Philae Temple for wonderful photo opportunities. Enjoy a welcome reception and dinner on board. Day 4: Aswan – Edfu Savour breakfast on board as you sail to Kom Ombo. This afternoon visit a temple shared by two gods – Sobek and Haeroris in Kom Ombo. Dinner and entertainment are scheduled this evening as the riverboat sets sail to Edfu. Day 5: Edfu – Luxor This morning, pay a visit to the famed Temple of Horus in Edfu. Set sail to Luxor via Esna while relaxing over with lunch. In the late afternoon explore the Temple of Luxor and ancient Temple of Karnak. Luxor has frequently been characterised as the ‘world’s greatest open air museum’. A dinner and belly- dance show ensure a fun-filled final evening on board. Day 6: Luxor – Cairo Breakfast can be enjoyed before disembarking. This morning, wander through the royal burial sites – the Valleys of the Kings and Queens – and the West Bank in Luxor. Transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo to connect with your international flight.
