This tour takes you to the heart of Thailand and provides a glimpse of the long history of the country. Chiang Mai is renowned for its dazzling beauty and extremely welcoming locals while Chiang Rai remains a sleepy town with spectacular nature and deep tradition. Day 1: Bangkok On arrival transfer to your hotel. Day 2: Bangkok – Phitsanuloke (430 kilometres) Drive to the historic city of Ayutthaya via Lopburi to reach Phitsanuloke. Visit the revered Buddha statue. Day 3: Phitsanuloke – Chiang Rai (460 kilometres) Explore the ruins of the temples and monasteries of Srisatchanalai before driving through jungle-clad hills to Chiang Rai. Day 4: Chiang Rai Visit Doi Mae Salon – a Chinese settlement, the Akha and Yao hill tribe villages and Mae Sai, Thailand’s northernmost town near the Myanmar border. Day 5: Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai (190 kilometres) Drive to the most vibrant city in northern Thailand, Chiang Mai, with its many famous temples. Visit the famous temple of Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Day 6: Chiang Mai Visit an elephant camp followed by a visit to Sankampaeng, home to Chiang Mai’s famous cottage industries. Day 7: Chiang Mai – Bangkok Transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. The rest of the day is at leisure. Day 8: Bangkok Enjoy some last-minute shopping before your return flight home.

Discover Bangkok, a city of contrasts with action at every turn. Visit gleaming temples, bustling streets and lively river markets. Explore the pristine nature of Samroi Yod National Park on your way to Ranong. The journey ends on the spectacular beaches of Krabi, an area of limestone karsts and mangrove forest. Day 1: Bangkok Arrive in Bangkok and transfer to your hotel. In the evening enjoy a dinner cruise on the historic Chao Phraya River taking in the vistas of famous Wat Arun and the Royal Grand Palace. Day 2: Bangkok Discover the spectacular sights and sounds of this cosmopolitan capital. Visit the Golden Buddha Temple, the Reclining Buddha Temple and the Grand Palace. Day 3: Bangkok – Hua Hin (200 kilometres) Take a boat ride in Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Then continue to Petchburi and visit the Khao Luang Cave with its worshipped Buddha. Continue to Phra Nakorn Kiri, the former summer residence of King Rama IV before reaching Hua Hin. Day 4: Hua Hin – Ranong (390 kilometres) Drive to Sam Roi Yod National Park, ‘The Mountain of 300 Peaks’ with limestone towers, fossil caves and coastal marshes. Continue to Prachuap Khiri Khan, visiting Wat Khao Chong Krajok or ‘Mirror Mountain’ and then to Ranong. Day 5: Ranong – Krabi (350 kilometres) Today visit hot spring wells and the fishing port of Ranong before proceeding to Phang Nga for a boat trip through the spectacular bay with its magnificent limestone monoliths, water villages and caves. Visit the island made famous by the James Bond film ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’. Continue to Krabi. Day 6: Krabi Enjoy the day at your leisure. Day 7: Krabi – Phuket (145 kilometres) Transfer to Phuket International Airport for your onward flight.
