Discover the fascinating history and culture of Java with magnificent temples amidst stunning landscapes of rice paddies, tea plantations and steaming volcanoes. Day 1: Jakarta Arrive in Jakarta and transfer to your hotel. Day 2: Jakarta Get a glimpse of Jakarta’s colonial past during a half-day morning city tour. Day 3-4: Jakarta – Yogyakarta Board a short domestic flight to Yogyakarta. Later in the afternoon, visit the Prambanan temple complex, an architectural masterpiece. The following day’s highlight includes a half-day city tour with a visit to the Sultan’s palace and a sunset tour of the Borobudur Temple, the largest Buddhist sanctuary in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Day 5: Yogyakarta – Malang (326 kilometres) After an early breakfast, transfer to the train station for a journey to Jombang. Continue by car to the old colonial town of Malang and enjoy viewing a waterfall and a short hike in rice fields on your way. Day 6: Malang – Mount Bromo (53 kilometres) Tour the city to see age-old temple artefacts, explore the local wet market before visiting the tea plantation and tea factory in the country side. In the afternoon enjoy the cooler climate at your hotel on the slopes of Mount Bromo. Day 7: Mount Bromo – Surabaya – Bali Early morning jeep ride to the platform of Mount Penanjakan to enjoy the spectacular views of the sunrise and the surrounding volcanic mountains. Breakfast at the hotel and transfer back to Surabaya Airport for your flight to Bali.

Travel to Bali and experience a beautiful island escape dotted with lush rice fields, idyllic beaches and smoldering volcanoes. Day 1: Denpasar – Ubud (22 kilometres) Arrive in Denpasar and transfer to your hotel in Ubud. Day 2-3: Ubud Visit Elephant Cave (Goa Gajah), Ubud Royal Palace and Ubud market on an Ubud tour. The next day, spend some time at leisure. You can opt for a cycling tour, white water rafting or visit the age-old village of Tenganan. Day 4-5: Ubud – Candidasa (45 kilometres) After breakfast, drive to Candidasa visiting a local dance school en route. Continue your journey towards the east coast of Bali, with a stop at Tihingan village, where you can see the production of gongs and gamelan instruments. Enjoy the Continue along the east coast stopping at the biggest temple of Bali – Besakih, on the way to the highland town of Kintamani with its panoramic views of Mount Batur. Explore the mythic temple Pura Beji before proceeding to Lovina. Day 7: Lovina Walk along the terraced rice fields, visit local villages and have a cup of home-grown coffee in a farmhouse and take in the Secret Gardens of Sambangan with cascading waterfalls on a guided hiking programme. Day 8: Lovina – Denpasar (78 kilometres) Visit the iconic sea temple Tanah Lot en route before transferring to the airport for your departure flight. Alternatively you can extend your Bali holiday with a south Bali Beach resort stay. following day at leisure or relax at the beach. Day 6: Candidasa – Lovina (114 kilometres)
