This tour provides a fascinating insight into China’s rich cultural heritage and its dramatic urban regeneration in Shanghai. Day 1: Beijing Arrive in Beijing and spend the day at leisure. Day 2-3: Beijing Discover Beijing’s iconic sites including Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Visit the Great Wall of China and the iconic ‘Bird’s Nest’, officially the National Stadium. Day 4: Beijing – Xian Relax aboard a boat at the Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before heading to Xian on a high speed train. Day 5: Xian After breakfast, visit the extraordinary Terracotta Army and the Ban Po Museum, which houses the remains of a neolithic society dating back 8,000 years. Later, visit Xian Old City Wall and the Muslim Quarter. Day 6: Xian – Guilin After breakfast, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a well-preserved ancient building, before departing for your flight to Guilin. Day 7: Guilin – Li River Cruise – Yangshuo Embark on a Li River Cruise to Yangshuo and take in the breathtaking surroundings. On arrival, take a stroll on West Street in Yangshuo Village, do a spot of light hiking and rafting around the Yangshuo River. Day 8: Guilin – Hong Kong Transfer to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong. Day 9: Hong Kong After breakfast, depart on a half-day Hong Kong City tour where you will visit Victoria Peak, Aberdeen Fishing Village, Jewellery factory, Repulse Bay and Stanley Market. Day 10: Hong Kong Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.

Explore the main cities and attractions of mainland China from shopping in Shanghai to strolling along the Great Wall of China. Day 1: Shanghai On arrival, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Day 2: Shanghai After breakfast, visit Yuyuan Gardens. After lunch, visit the Bund, China’s well-known waterfront. Day 3: Shanghai – Suzhou – Shanghai (210 kilometres) About a 90-minute drive from Shanghai is Suzhou, home to the Research Institute for Embroidery. Continue to Garden of the Master of the Nets, then go on a Grand Canal tour and take in the view of the landscape. Day 4: Shanghai – Xian On arrival, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Day 5: Xian After breakfast set out to see the extraordinary Terracotta Army. Later, visit the Banpo Museum, a prehistoric excavation site museum. After lunch visit Xian Old City Wall, then explore the Muslim Quarter. Day 6: Xian – Beijing After breakfast, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda before departing for your flight to Beijing. Day 7-8: Beijing Discover The Forbidden city, Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall of China and on the way back, stop for a picture of thee iconic ‘Bird’s Nest’ officially the National Stadium. Day 9: Beijing Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
