Best of Rio de Janeiro 4 days/3 nights – Semi-private tour Day 1: Rio de Janeiro On arrival in Rio you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel. Day 2: Corcovado & Sugar Loaf Mountain Travel by train through the lush Tijuca Forest to the top of Corcovado. Get up close to the awe-inspiring statue of Christ the Redeemer towering over the amazing city and enjoy the stunning views of Rio below. After a delicious lunch take the cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain. The view of Rio’s beautiful coastline and countless bays is unbeatable. Day 3: Rio de Janeiro Soak up the sun on golden beaches or wander around old Rio and the shops of Ipanema. Rio comes alive after dark, so in the evening you will enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner followed by a Spectacular Samba show that captures the rhythms of Carnival. Day 4: Rio de Janeiro Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Iguaçu Falls 3 days/2 nights – Semi-private tour We recommend you stay a few nights in Rio de Janeiro before this tour. Day 1: Iguaçu Arrive at Foz do Iguaçu International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Day 2: Iguaçu Explore the Brazilian side of the falls with a two-kilometre walk into the gorge for unobstructed panoramic views and to see the awesome ‘Devil’s Throat Falls’. In the afternoon, cross to the Argentine side for a guided walk on the winding upper circuit boardwalk. The lower circuit offers the best views of the falls as they come hurtling over the edge. Highly recommended is an amazing helicopter ride or a boat journey to get up close to the thundering falls – supplement cost apply. Day 3: Iguaçu After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Deep in the Jungle 4 days/3 nights – Semi-private tour We recommend you stay a few nights in Rio de Janeiro and Manaus in combination with this tour. Day 1: Amazon A 30-minute boat transfer from Manaus brings you to the Amazon EcoPark Jungle Lodge which is situated amidst fresh water streams and jungle trails on the Tarumã River. After settling in, depart on a guided tour in a motorised canoe in search of alligators called caimans. Day 2: Amazon Start the day with a nature hike and after lunch depart on a motorised canoe with a guide to observe Piranha fish. Visit a tribal dwelling to learn about local traditions and customs. Day 3: ‘Meeting of the Waters’ Navigate down the Negro River to witness the spectacular merging of the Negro and Solimões Rivers. The waters of these two rivers run together for about 12 kilometres, side-by-side, without mixing. Day 4: Manaus After breakfast, and some time at leisure amidst the giant trees, exotic orchids and medicinal plants, you will be transferred back to Manaus.
