When to visit Denmark is a country with a four-season climate, yet not one of extremes, so each season offers a good reason to visit year-round. Long days and pleasant average temperatures of 20℃ from June to August make summer the best – and busiest – time to visit, but go in spring or autumn and you’ll miss the crowds yet still enjoy mild weather. December to March sees a frosty, dark winter set in. Summer (June to August) in Norway and Sweden brings incredibly long days – the time of the ‘midnight sun’ – with September generally also a pleasant time to go. Visiting during the winter months of November to March brings a higher chance of seeing the Northern Lights (aurora borealis) and the opportunity to ski. Denmark: Danish Kroner (DKK) Norway: Norwegian Kroner (NOK) Sweden: Swedish Krona (SEK) Languages: Denmark: Danish is the official language, but most Danes speak English, German or French. Norway: Norwegian, but almost everyone can also speak English. Sweden: Official language is Swedish and many Swedes speak very good English.

Experiences Sweden has a smorgasbord of natural and manmade attractions from its southern Baltic coastline to the Arctic Circle. Capital city Stockholm is the jewel in its crown, picturesquely spread across 14 bridge- connected islands. The wider Stockholm archipelago is a beautiful scattering of many thousands of islands topped with forests and colourful cabins that beg to be explored. Norway is a magical country with a huge coastline carved into deep fjords, of which Sognefjord is the absolute highlight, as the

largest in Norway and one of the longest in the world. Along with Sweden, it’s also a place that stays light almost 24 hours in mid-summer, and dark for much of the winter, when its ski resorts come to life. The Danes are known as an eco-friendly and healthy bunch who love to cycle, so hire a bike and see the sights from two wheels on one of the world’s most integrated cycle networks. See the Aurora Borealis in all its glory while on a snowmobile tour from the extraordinary ICEHOTEL in Swedish Lapland.
