Begin your holiday with a stop in Stockholm, a city that combines modern attractions with historic charm. Witness the life of a musher in the Arctic wilderness and head by snowmobile to watch the mesmerising Northern Lights. Day 1: Stockholm On arrival in Stockholm you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the city by foot. Explore old town ‘Gamla Stan’ and feel the medieval atmosphere, stroll over the picturesque bridges that span the city’s canals. Day 2: Stockholm – Kiruna (Jukkasjärvi) Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Kiruna and then transfer to the ICEHOTEL. Staying at the ICEHOTEL is an experience unlike any other. You sleep in a thermal sleeping bag on a bed built out of ice blocks Experience a tour to an isolated wilderness camp located far off the beaten track. Observe the life of a musher in the Arctic wilderness, witness the dogs and the sledges that regularly cross the ice and even enjoy a ride. You can choose to drive your own team of dogs or join as a passenger and assist with unharnessing the dogs after the tour. Later experience a snowmobile excursion in search of the magical Northern Lights, where trained guides tell you stories about the mythical Transfer from the hotel to the airport and fly from Kiruna to Stockholm. Once you arrive in Stockholm, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. The rest of the day is at leisure. Day 2: Copenhagen – Oslo, Norway (overnight ferry) Depart on a tour of Copenhagen. Highlights include the old canal area, Nyhavn and the statue of the Little Mermaid. Late afternoon embark on the overnight ferry departing to Oslo. Day 3: Oslo – Eidfjord Drive across Hoenefoss, Nesbyen surrounded by a landscape, which alternates between forests of pines and lakes to arrive in the beautiful Hallingdal Valley and onward to Eidfjord. Day 4: Eidfjord – Bergen This morning you will cross the splendid Hardanger fjord, by travelling across Hardanger Bridge. Continue along the fjord, passing by Nordheimsund and crossing birch forests until we arrive in Bergen and enjoy a tour of the city. Day 5: Bergen – Stalheim Early afternoon departure from Bergen and travel to the historic town of Voss, with a stunning background of snow clad mountains and continue towards Naeroy valley. Day 6: Stalheim – Flaam – Fagernes After breakfast, the coach continues down the Naeroy valley to Gudvangen where we embark on a ferry along the Naeroyfjord, one of the narrowest and most popular fjord journeys in Norway. Day 7: Fagernes – Oslo Today travel towards Oslo, leaving the fjords behind.
