If you are travelling with children from birth to 13 years age, you can travel in an area dedicated to families. Children aged three and younger go free, while those from the age of four till 13 enjoy a 20% discount on the respective adult ticket (excluding tickets sold at Eur9.99). We know that sitting down quietly for more than five minutes is torture for most young children. That’s why we have created a specially designated play area that is available for those children who are full of beans. They can burn off some energy in the play area for up to 1.5 hours for just Eur5.

Travelling with vehicles.

Non-commercial vehicles. Passengers travelling with their vehicles must be present for embarkation at least one and a half hours before departure time. Kindly make sure that you have all the necessary documentation at hand. Vehicles are loaded and secured onboard in the order established by the master. Manual transmission vehicles shall be left in first gear and automatic ones in PARK setting. In both cases, the handbrake needs to be fully engaged and emergency/parking brakes must be secure during the entirety of the crossing. Upon disembarkation, drivers may only start their engines when instructed to do so by the crew. There are four entrances that lead from the garage to the main deck and each one is manned by a crew member who will guide you to your selected seat. Commercial vehicles. The term commercial vehicles refer to any sort of truck, trailer, coach, minivan, bus or caravan/motorhome/RV. Drivers of commercial vehicles use a separate entrance to the one used by non-commercial vehicles. Truckers can make use of a separate area which includes showers, drinks, sandwiches and comfortable seats, and enjoy a relaxing crossing to their destination.

Pet friendly area

Accompanied pets. If you are travelling with your pet, you can embark using the foot passenger or vehicle entrance, at which point you will be accompanied by our staff to the pet-friendly area on board. You can keep your pet with you or use one of the cages located in the pet area. If your pet gets too excited, we might ask you to put on the muzzle or even use one of our cages until they calm down.

Please note that once outside the cage, pets have to be on a leash at all times, this for the benefit of all those using the pet area.

Pet cats and dogs may travel onboard the vessel as long as you inform us during the booking process. This is when you will be asked whether your pet will be joining you in the pet area or remaining in your vehicle throughout the crossing.

Valletta Cruise Port. Valletta Cruise Port is located in the capital city of Malta and regularly welcomes cruise ships, as well as a new fast ferry service between Malta and Gozo. Savoca: is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, whose name derives from the plant of the elder (savucu in Sicilian dialect). This small town set in the rock of a hill of dual tip, experienced the interest of kings, popes, and Archimandrite prelates, in a succession of periods of serious crisis and prosperity. While in Savoca, guests will visit the Church of San Nicolò, which seems almost stretch out into space, built as it is on a massive outcrop of rock. The curious thing is that the church was one of the famous sets of the film “the Godfather” along with the Bar Vitelli, housed inside eighteenth century Palazzo Trimarchi. Forza D’Agró: is a town in the Metropolitan City of Messina. It is on the lower peak of a small mountain, while on the higher peak that overlooks the town are the remains of a Norman castle. Much of the town consists of traditional buildings and stone paved lanes that are impassable by car. Due to this lack of modernization, Forza D’Agró has featured as the backdrop in a number of films, such as The Godfather trilogy. The village offers a wonderful medieval atmosphere with its narrow streets, charming churches, and aristocratic buildings.

Noto: The Noto Valley is the cradle of the most outstanding evidence of Sicilian baroque, which is why 8 historical centres in the area are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Noto is located less than 40km southwest of Syracuse, the town is home to one of Sicily’s most beautiful historic centres and is considered the Capital of Baroque, and it is not hard to understand why. A strong and florid city in the Renaissance, it was completely destroyed by the devastating earthquake of 1693, leaving just what is now called “Noto Antica”: the new city was built a few kilometres from the former settlement, and great architects and urban designers, all major representatives of the typical Baroque architecture of that time, were asked to contribute to the re-building of Noto. The pièce de résistance is Corso Vittorio Emanuele, an elegant walkway flanked by thrilling baroque palazzi and churches. Marzamemi: Marzamemi has an exotic flair to it. It started as a fishing village and continues the tradition today. But Marzamemi, unlike many other towns in Sicily, doesn’t have Greek roots; rather it was founded by the Arabs and originally called Marsa’ al Hamen (which translates as “harbour of the turtle doves”). Marzamemi started as a town for tuna fishing and packing, a trade it continues in an artisanal form today. The old “tonnara” still stands on the shore, used now for special events, while food producers in the modern part of town pack tuna and smoked swordfish in various forms.

Brucoli is a typical fishing village on the Sicilian east coast, 15 km from Vaccarizzo and 25 km from Catania. You find limestone cliffs alternating with grottos, bays, and small beaches. Right at the seaside, there are lots of restaurants and bars. The former fishing village has developed into a seaside and a snorkelling resort for tourists. The city centre, nevertheless, has preserved its authenticity. It is marked by small fishermen’s houses, many well restored and meanwhile rented out as tourist accommodations or harbouring restaurants typical of the region. The small fishing boats you see rocking to and from at the harbour are still used for daily fishing today. For maritime connections between Sicily and the mainland you need not go far, only to Brucoli harbour, from where boats depart for the mainland. The 15th century fortress, built as a means of protection against pirate attacks, is worth a closer look.
